The Wine Vault ... (yes, it's in the cellar and yes, it's secured) ...
is nothing short of amazing.  Designed in the spirit of the old Tuscan wine cellars of Italy, constructed of natural stone and reclaimed antique brick ... this room is truly magnificent.

The 20' x 8' wine room is tucked away on the lower basement level and is built into the earth.  The entire poured wall structure & ceiling behind the rock & brick was sealed with closed cell, anti-microbial insulation to completely encase it.  The room has a dedicated, externally located aqua-cooled AC unit with 200+ feet of in-ground geothermal tubing in the earth to provide automatic temperature and humidity control.  Low voltage LED lighting is recessed into each bin.

The room is equipped with intercom and distributed music selection from the house system.  An access control keypad and automatic sliding glass door (hidden behind the old Italian door in the photo) will keep the contents safe and secure.

North Carolina with a touch of Italy.
